How to bet the spread

I want to start off with how to place bets. There are different types of bets today im going to talk about the point spread.

Let's say that a football team called the Orange Eagles is going to play on Sunday at 12pm. The Orange Eagles are favored by - 7. That means they have to win by eight or more points for this bet to win. If the Orange Eagles win by seven its a tie or push and you get you money back. If they win by six or less then its a losing bet.

Now the team the Orange Eagles are playing against are the Onside Bears. The spread is at + 7 since there the underdogs. This means that The Onside Bears have to win the game or lose by less than seven points for the spread bet to win.

There are also .5 spreads where a team might be favored by - 3.5, - 7.5 or ect. Which means that the spread bet can't result in a push.

March 11, 2021 NHL New Jersey Devils @ New York Islanders

The New York Islanders versus the New Jersey Devils from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The New York Islanders are on a Six game win streak with New York's last win being decided in Overtime against the Bruins. I have three predictions for this game. You can bet on the New York Islanders Puckline at -1.5. You can pick over 1.5 first period goals. Or bet the total over 5.5 goals. Some sportsbooks have the puckline at -1.0. So if the Islander win by one goal you get your money-back. Good luck.
