NHL pick January 16, 2021 Carolina Hurricanes @ Detroit Red Wings

 The Detroit Red Wings face off against the Carolina Hurricanes from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan Saturday. The Red Wings are looking to avenge a lost from there last meeting with the Hurricanes. It wont be easy since the Red Wings couldn't score a goal Thursday it was all Carolina. Nico Niederrieter Scored a goal in the first period. Ryan Ddzingel scored on a power play and Andrei Svechnikov scored the last goal.

The Carolina Hurricanes are 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between these two teams. I would have to take the Carolina Hurricanes on the moneyline at -230. I would also consider the Carolina puckline too.

The New York Islanders are on a Six game win streak with New York's last win being decided in Overtime against the Bruins. I have three predictions for this game. You can bet on the New York Islanders Puckline at -1.5. You can pick over 1.5 first period goals. Or bet the total over 5.5 goals. Some sportsbooks have the puckline at -1.0.
